Queen's visit, CHOGM in pictures on CD

A photographic album featuring highlights of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and the Queen's state visit to Malta last month is available on CD.

The CD contains over 750 images taken by Department of Information photographers and is divided into two parts, the DOI said.

The first part features the main events of the Queen's visit, including the formal welcome ceremony and the walkabout in Republic Street, both in Valletta, visits to the Cottonera Sports Complex and the Eden Foundation Centre, the official opening of the Grand Harbour Marina and the visit to Gozo by the Duke of Edinburgh.

The second part, dedicated to the Commonwealth meeting, features the arrival of the heads of delegation, the opening spectacle, the official photograph of the heads of delegation with the Queen, the retreat, the fireworks display at Golden Bay and the visits by the spouses to Gozo, Mdina and St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta.
