On Saturday, the Malta Weightlifting Federation will hold their last competition of the year - the Charles Mifsud Challenge Trophy - at the Cottonera Sports Complex.

Lifters will be divided in two categories. Section 'A' is for those who lift more than 50% of the current world records. Section 'B' is open for newcomers.

Clive Zammit starts favourite but will face a big challenge from most lifters eager to claim a trophy named after the founder of the federation.

At the end of the competition, there will be presentations of the Charles Mifsud Challenge Trophy and also the National Championships. Trophies are sponsored by Malta Screen Productions.
