Movies on GB Airways' flight to Gatwick

British Airways franchise partner GB Airways will introduce entertainment on its flights between Malta and London Gatwick from January, building on the service already offered on its Malta-Manchester route.

With an entertainment programme that changes monthly, those flying into Malta from London Gatwick and Manchester in January will be treated to Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning in the pre-DVD release of the movie Dreamer. Passengers flying into the English capital that month will be able to enjoy Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo in Just Like Heaven, also a pre-DVD. Following each movie will be a selection of comedies such as Friends, Frasier and Will & Grace.

John Morgan, commercial director of GB Airways, said: "We are pleased to be able to respond to our customers' needs by offering in-flight entertainment on board our flights to the UK. In May, we launched our new route between the island and Manchester providing greater access to and from the north of England.

"Looking ahead to summer 2006, a daily service between the UK and Malta will be available with a daily service to/from London Gatwick and three flights a week to/from Manchester."

Return fares start at Lm 44 to London Gatwick and Lm 54 to Manchester, excluding taxes.

All flights offer a two-class cabin.
