Orthopaedic nurses have set up their own association naming it the Association of Maltese Orthopaedic Nurses (AMON).

Reggie Aquilina, chairman said at the launch at the Coastline Hotel, Salina that in view of recent developments in the nursing profession the need was felt by the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses to set up branches focusing on specialised disciplines. AMON is the first association that was set up within the fold of the MUMN.

The aim of the association is to help in the personal development of orthopaedic nurses. AMON's website is www.amon-nurse.com
