Two Zejtun brothers were conditionally discharged for a year after they pleaded guilty to slightly injuring a man and damaging his car last month.

Salvatore Spiteri, 45, and his brother Louis, 34, pleaded guilty to injuring Faical Mahouachi on November 15. On handing down judgement, Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera heard how Mr Mahouachi had forgiven the men and that they had already paid him part of the damages caused.

The magistrate ordered the accused to pay the remainder of the damages.

Police Inspector Joseph Agius prosecuted.
