Two Maltese University students are representing Malta in the second edition of the European Youth week organised by the European Commission in Brussels.

Bernard Grech and Odette Fsadni have joined a group of 200 young people from all over Europe during this year's edition called Youth Takes The Floor.

This year's activity is focusing particularly on the active involvement of young people in the European project. The delegates are holding discussions with the European Commission and Parliament and will adopt concrete proposals for European policymakers with a view to helping shape the future of the Union.

The European Youth week also comprises a number of events in each member state and was preceeded by a Europe-wide online consultation of young people on the most pressing topics Europe and young people are facing today.

In Malta activities include a music concert at Bay Street on December 11 and various exhibitions, workshops, discussions, presentations and other activities organised by various youth organisations in Malta and Gozo. The activity in Malta is being coordinated by the national youth agency at the Ministry for Education.
