England captain Michael Vaughan will miss the one-day series in Pakistan to have knee surgery. Vaughan, who flew home for the birth of his second child after England's 2-0 test series defeat, would not be returning to Pakistan as his knee injury required further investigation, team doctor Peter Gregory said yesterday. Marcus Trescothick will lead England in the five-match series, which starts on Saturday in Lahore.
