175 Meli cars for CHOGM

Meli Car Rentals Limited expressed their sincere gratitude to the Maltese authorities for entrusting them with the provision of the transport services for the recently held Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), in a statement issued last week.

Being the largest event of its kind ever held in Malta, CHOGM 2005 was a major challenge to the company and this notwithstanding its extensive experience in transporting international VIPs and providing transport services to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Meli Car Rentals overcame the challenge thanks to its three decades of experience in the field of transport, professional organisational skills and dedicated employees.

Meli Car Rentals provided 175 executive cars and luxury limousines for the event, in addition to the substantial amount of minibuses and luggage vans also provided by the company.

Apart from providing transport services to the numerous heads of government, foreign ministers, their respective spouses and delegations, Meli Car Rentals provided transport services to Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.

The transport services were also provided to the international media that arrived in Malta to report on this event.

Included in the transport services provided was the transportation of the personal luggage and items brought to Malta by the international dignitaries and the media's luggage and equipment, services that are a major logistical operation in their own right.
