A trade union is an organisation of workers who join to safeguard, put forward, and improve their common interests. The way the General Workers Union is currently performing leaves no doubt that its priorities are definitely not in line with those supposedly held by a workers' union.

Under Tony Zarb's leadership the GWU is no longer eligible to be considered a workers' union. It is a shameful reality that Mr Zarb, while purporting to strive to protect Maltese workers, continues to betray the thousands of members his organisation represents. This really is a case of "Issa daqshekk!"
