'Simple' mobile phones

Vodafone launched Vodafone Simply, a service designed for customers who only want a mobile phone with voice and SMS services.

Vodafone Simply mobile phones will go on sale on Saturday exclusively from all Vodafone retail outlets and Digital 2000 in Sliema.

Vodafone linked up with Sagem to develop two phones: the Vodafone Simply Sagem VS2, a straight, black handset which costs Lm39, and the Vodafone Simply Sagem VS3, a silver flip-phone which costs Lm49. Each model comes with Lm5 free airtime.

In addition, on-screen instructions in plain language help customers master the phone quickly and easily.

For more information, customers can visit any Vodafone retail outlet or contact customer service on 247 for free.

Meanwhile, Vodafone said over 20,000 prepaid customers subscribed to its latest campaign Talk For An Hour And Pay For A Minute in the first week of launch. It was launched last Monday.

Prepaid customers subscribed to this offer can make calls to other Vodafone numbers throughout the weekend and between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. on weekdays at 12c per call irrespective of length of call.

Vodafone has decided to increase the limit of the offer to 40,000 subscribers.
