BoV launches personal loans for CHOGM BMWs

customers of Bank of Valletta who plan to bid in the L-Istrina auction for one of the BMWs being used by delegates during CHOGM can now apply for a tailor-made BoV personal loan.

Details were announced last week by Peter Perotti, who was recently appointed executive head Personal Finance at Bank of Valletta.

This attractive BoV personal loan offers an advantageous interest rate with a 1% discount for the first year over the normal applicable rate. The bank is also waiving the loan processing fees.

The repayment of the loan facility will be spread over seven years. A 10 per cent contribution of the whole amount will be required from the customer.

Mr Perotti, who joined BoV 25 years ago, moved into Personal Finance from Bank of Valletta's Wealth Management division. Speaking about this tailor-made personal loan he said: "As the CHOGM official bank, we wanted to be supportive to our customers, who are planning to bid for one of these executive vehicles as an exclusive reminder of this historic event.

"We also support the initiative of having part of the proceeds from the sale of these cars going to the L-Istrina campaign, especially in view of the bank's active collaboration with the L-Istrina team through the Piggy Bank campaign.

"This new product shows that BoV is committed to respond to market opportunities and to be close to its customers by launching added value services and offering a straightforward, efficient service."
