Why was it that no Church representative was invited to sit on the panel in Lou Bondi's November 15 Bondiplus which discussed teenage pregnancy, human conception and abortion?
It seems to me that with the exception of the contributions of some members of the panel, viewers were offered some very muddled, dangerous and even anti-Catholic views on conception and abortion with no official version of the Church to counterbalance them.
The official teaching of the Church is that at the precise moment of conception a human soul is created and a human person starts to exist.
Surely it was an affront and a great disservice to the vast majority of the Maltese population, who profess to be Catholic, to leave out the official version of the Church on such a delicate and vital subject as human conception and abortion.
This, despite the fact that the Constitution of Malta expressly declares that the Catholic Church has the right and duty to teach what is right and what is wrong.
