¤ The Arka Respite Centre is organising a week dedicated to people with disability to mark its fifth anniversary.
Bishop Nikol Cauchi leads concelebrated Mass for the disabled, their families and friends at Ta' Pinu Sanctuary today at 11.15 a.m. A reception at Ta' Pinu Restaurant, organised by David's Bakery of Kercem, will follow.
Dar Arka is holding two open days today and on Wednesday from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. A seminar on 'The Disabled in Today's Society' will be held on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.
On Friday at 7.30 p.m., the Gozo Youth Wind Band and Orchestra holds a concert at the Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria, with guest singers Pamela Bezzina, Julie Zahra and Ludwig Galea, directed by Joseph Grech. Entrance is free.

¤ Activities to mark Nadur Council Day include a sports day for local children at the MUSEUM boys football ground today at 3 p.m. A weekend break will be held in Malta from Friday to Sunday (information from the council). Italian soprano Eva Zampieron gives a concert at Nadur basilica on December 7 at 7 p.m.

¤ To mark the 75th anniversary of the death of artist Giuseppe Calì, the Ministry for Gozo's organising committee is holding an exhibition of his works found in Gozo at Our Lady of Loreto church, Ghajnsielem. The exhibition, entitled Giuseppe Calì works in Gozo, will be open until December 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to noon on weekends. Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono will preside over the inauguration on Saturday, during which there will be a performance by harpist Anne Marie Camilleri Podestà and a commemorative lecture on the life and works of Calì by Mark Sagona.
¤ The 14th Youth of the Year will be announced at a ceremony at Ta' Cenc Hotel, Sannat, on Saturday at 7 p.m. President Eddie Fenech Adami is presenting the award. The event is organised by the OASI Foundation, with the co-operation of the Ministry for Gozo, the Ministry for Education, Youth and Employment, and the National Youth Council.
¤ The 45th Rally of Catholic societies, ecclesiastical groups and parish council members, entitled Il-Ministeri Lajkali, will be held at the Catholic Action premises in Victoria on Sunday from 8.30 a.m. to noon. The event, led by Bishop Cauchi, will discuss the ministries of the Word of God, the liturgy and charity.
