Roma midfielder Olivier Dacourt is convinced he still has a chance of getting into the French squad for next year's World Cup in Germany.

Dacourt has not been called up by coach Raymond Domenech since he won his 21st cap in a World Cup qualifier in Cyprus on October 13, 2004.

However, the former Leeds midfielder told sports daily L'Equipe yesterday: "Do I think of the World Cup? Of course. I will go to Germany.

"(Striker Nicolas) Anelka is back. It means there is no black list.

"What I mean is that I will do everything I can to be there. I have to be good with Roma. Afterwards, I won't have any regrets."

Dacourt has only started four games in Serie A this season.
