The police are holding a man in connection with a hold-up that took place on Wednesday night.

A man who was driving through Aldo Moro Street, Marsa, at about 9.45 p.m. was stopped by another man in a Daihatsu Charade, the police said. The latter pointed a gun at the driver, asked for his wallet and mobile phone and left. The robbed driver then filed a report at the Hamrun police station.

The car that was allegedly used in the hold-up was later found in Dwardu Street, Cospicua.

A man was later arrested and is helping the police in their investigations.
