BAR chief Nick Fry may have inadvertently let slip the Honda-owned Formula One team's new name for next season. "Honda Racing F1 team" was clearly printed on the stills in his presentation at the Global Motorsports Congress near Frankfurt last weekend.

"Maybe, maybe," Fry said when asked if he had just given away the name, which has not yet been made public.

"Was that really up there on the screen?"

Honda, who previously owned 45 per cent of BAR, last month announced they were buying out founders British American Tobacco.

"We want to race as Honda and we want to challenge for the championship," Honda's operating officer Hiroshi Oshima said at the time.

"The name will be Honda something-or-other but we will have to talk with the sponsors before making that decision."
