Enemalta decision welcomed

Nature Trust, Friends of the Earth (Malta), Grupp Arkeologiku Malti, Alternattiva Demokratika, the Gudja local council and MOAM, the organic farming lobby group, said they agreed with Enemalta's decision not to proceed with the consideration of Has-Saptan Valley as a possible site for the relocation of the energy corporation's storage facilities at Birzebbuga.

The organisations had joined forces last June to protest against such a possibility.

Has-Saptan Valley is a green area that should be cherished and conserved for the benefit of all, they said.
