The Commonwealth Youth Forum, being held in the run-up to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), yesterday discussed Enterprise, Sustainable Livelihoods and ICT.
The speakers included Paulette Bynoe (Guyana), a lecturer in Environmental Studies at the University of Guyana, who is a founding member of the Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN), and Karl Gouder, chief executive officer of Young Enterprise Malta. The afternoon was dedicated to parallel sessions and discussions.
Ricardo Williams, a Jamaican delegate at the forum, said the days spent at CYF 2005 Malta have so far been a tremendous experience and most importantly a learning one.
The working group sessions were exciting and provided a wonderful avenue through which one could learn in depth about different countries, their culture and people.
Equally important was the critical analysis, which ensued within these sessions, about the forum's main themes.
"I commend the CYF 05 Malta planning team for a job well done," Mr Williams said.
