The Commonwealth Human Ecology Council (CHEC) and the Foundation for International Studies of the University of Malta are organising a pre-CHOGM forum at the Old University Building, St Paul Street, Valletta, between tomorrow and Wednesday.

Invited high profile speakers and the ensuing discussions will focus on human ecology and human settlements, small island states, and the Millennium Development Goals. The speakers will include Don McKinnon, the Commonwealth Secretary General, and Stuart Mole, OBE, director-general of the Royal Commonwealth Society.

The discussions will provide a unique opportunity for interaction between representatives of UN organisations, governments, the professions, the private sector and NGOs on Global and Commonwealth priorities for improving human and envirornmental well-being. Contributions from the floor will be encouraged!
