Kinnie extends basketball deal

Kinnie announced the extension of its partnership with the Malta Basketball Association (MBA) for season 2005/2006.

As the official sponsor of the men's national league, Kinnie is once again honouring a long-standing relationship with basketball in Malta.

The sponsorship deal includes Kinnie as the official drink for the MBA Mini Basket League and the '3 on 3' tournament.

This year, the MBA is introducing a new '3 on 3' festival for 11-year-olds to further promote the sport. This festival, played on a monthly basis at Naxxar, is also open to beginners.

"We appreciate the value of our long-term relationship with Kinnie and one augurs that it continues for many years to come.

"This agreement provides an appropriate case study of how a sponsorship relationship should be," Frank Camilleri, MBA general secretary, said in a statement.
