A Briton was yesterday given a six-month jail term suspended for two years after confessing to stealing from a hotel in St Paul's Bay.

Shaune I'Anson, 29, admitted to stealing from Karanne Hotel on November 7.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera presided over the case.

Police Inspector Therese Sciberras prosecuted.

Lawyer Mark Busuttil appeared for the accused.
