Roll out the bottles

Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2005, imported and distributed by Wands Limited, will be displayed on the shelves of top supermarkets and in wine bars and restaurants from tomorrow.

Initially, the celebration of its arrival was more or less confined to the Beaujolais region in France but today the tradition of celebrating this new wine of the harvest is not only fully entrenched worldwide but has also become a custom among Maltese wine lovers since the early 1990s.

Wands Cash and Carry are releasing a good stock of Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau at "very tempting prices," said David Micallef St John, wine manager at Wands.
