Considering that the Maltese lira is officially pegged to the euro, I cannot understand why the US dollar depreciated against the lira when the dollar hit an 18-month high against the euro. (November 9). On November 8 the dollar was 2.7321 and on November 9 it was 2.7421 vis-a-vis the lira.
