The National Council of Women, the Gender Issues Committee of the University of Malta and the Women in Law and Development in Africa are organising a joint seminar on November 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Mediterranean Conference Centre - Temi Zammit Hall.
The seminar is chaired by Dr Irene Sciriha, chairperson of the Gender Issues Committee. The speakers include Dr Catherine Hobbs, head of Mathematical Science at Oxford Brookes University. She will talk about 'Women in Research - has increased reliance on IT changed the gender balance?'
Nancy Pascall from the European Commission Information Society and Media DG talks about 'Gender Equality in the European Union - the building of the Information Society'
Phyllis Farrugia from NCW Malta talks about 'The Maltese Perspective'.
