I dare say Mr Darmanin's case is very common! From June 2004 to today, around ten non-registered parcels were posted to me from different areas in the UK. Three never arrived, three arrived after two weeks, and the rest took between one and three months to arrive.

When posting letters to the UK, the situation is the same. Out of five registered letters I have sent, two got lost and the others were eventually delivered. As for other parcels, which were posted from various countries (mainly the US, Malaysia and Australia), all arrived within a reasonable amount of time, so I believe this frustrating situation is a problem at Royal Mail.

When contacting Maltapost about my missing/delayed mail, they have always taken the matter seriously and have compensated me on behalf of Royal Mail. I congratulate Maltapost for their excellent service.
