On behalf of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority, I refer to the submission made by Mark Causon (November 9).
A simple verification of the site plans and photos attached to the respective enforcement notice issued by Mepa, as well as the development application submitted by Mr Causon confirms that all refer to the same property.
Furthermore, the development application in question as submitted by Mr Causon is clearly described as "alterations consisting of replacement of existing floor of dwelling including construction of pool and sanctioning of excavation works".
The site plan submitted by Mr Causon's architect with the application to sanction these works indicates the exact site of Mr Causon's property. Even more, the enforcement officers in question have confirmed, and Mr Causon has never denied, that they spoke to Mr Causon when they inspected the property subject to the enforcement notice and ordered the illegal works to stop.
Mr Causon is well aware of these facts.
