MLCA's annual regatta at St Paul's Bay

The Malta Laser Class Association Regatta will take place on November 26 and 27. The event, now in its third edition, is being hosted by the Malta Young Sailors Club and racing will be held in St Paul's Bay.

It is the aim of the Malta Laser Class Association (MLCA) to repeat the success of last year's edition which saw as many as 50 dinghies sailing on the waters of Birzebbuga.

Besides being open to the Laser Standard, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7 Classes, participation is again being extended to the Optimist Class Dinghies which the MLCA recognises as the foundation class for future Laser sailors.

The growth in popularity of dinghy sailing in Malta is becoming more evident by the increased number of Laser sailors who took part in the 2005 edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

Details of the regatta may be obtained by sending an e-mail to maltalasers@yahoogroups.com or from any sailing club affiliated to the Malta Sailing Federation.
