Allow me to reply to the letter Situation In Floriana (October 31).

Since Floriana's mayor Publio Agius thinks that the installation of a number of (what he termed) "decorative planters in Conservatory Street, Floriana" has "enhanced the environment", (even though the photograph of them carried in The Times proved that these have defaced the environment), one now can appeal to all four remaining Floriana councillors, (Ivan Hallett, Nigel Holland, Christian Psaila and Brian Zammit) to remove this slur and, for the benefit of Balzunetta residents, to introduce iron railings similar to ones fixed in the corner of St Anne Square, Floriana.

In addition, during one of the recent Floriana local council sittings, Floriana's Malta Labour Party-imposed mayor also revealed yet another grandiose plan (sic!), this being his aim to reduce Floriana's cat population.

Finally, one can remind Floriana's imposed mayor that by March 2007 the council's term would have expired and his time would then be up.
