Fund-raising marathon

The Badminton Association organises an annual fund-raising event in aid of Ir-Razzett tal-Hbiberija. This is the association's way of helping this noble cause.

Usually, this event takes the form of a half-day tournament but this year it will be played on a new format - a 12-hour marathon.

This will take place at St Martin's College, Swatar, next Sunday. Singles and/or doubles matches will be in continuous progress over a 12-hour period. The first match will start at 9 a.m. and the last one will finish at 9 p.m.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Friendship Park. In this regard, it is pertinent to mention that St Martin's College administrators have promptly offered the use of the sports hall free of charge for the staging of this event.

Donations can be made by post by mailing a cheque to the association's postal address at PO Box 599, Valletta CMR 01.
