Top FIBA officials to attend meeting in Malta

High-ranking officials from FIBA have confirmed their participation for the 11th meeting of the board of the international basketball federation being held this week at the Radisson SAS Baypoint.

These include FIBA Europe president George Vassilakopo-lous, Patrick Baumann, the FIBA world general secretary and his European counterpart Nar Zannolin, and General Secretary Emeritus Borislav Stankovic.

The Malta Basketball Association will be represented by president Antonio Mizzi who is also a member on the FIBA board and member of the FIBA Legal Commission. Magistrate Mizzi also holds the post of president of the Appeals Board of both FIBA Europe and FIBA world.

The main item on the meeting's agenda, commencing tomorrow, is the preparation for the election of the FIBA executive to be held in May next year.
