Tax evasion aims praised

Graffitti group yesterday commended the budget's emphasis on tax evasion, which it cited as being one reason why social services are becoming less sustainable.

However, the movement said it believes the changes made in the property tax regime will not reduce prices but could actually result in more speculation.

It proposed the introduction of a tax on properties which are left vacant for speculation purposes.
