Change in house number

My sister had her house number changed by the police and the time came for her to pay her road licence and car insurance. She duly informed the insurance company about the change.

As the insurance company was taking the trouble to pay her road licence she asked them to inform the Malta Transport Authority (ADT) so that the car's logbook would bear the right address. She was informed that she would have to pay the ADT a Lm2.50 fee to make the change. What an ingenious way to make money!

In the event of her being issued with a fine, it would be lost in the post if the ADT is not informed about the change. She paid the fee.
