Foundation in charity drive

The Helping Hands Foundation is promoting its 5th edition family booklet in aid of Dar tal-Providenza, the home for persons with disabilities in Siggiewi.

So far it has raised Lm4,000 for the cause.

The foundation, which has been operating in Malta for 18 months, has so far donated over Lm56,000 to local and foreign charities.

The family booklet is packed with interesting facts, stories, general knowledge, recipes and more.

The booklets are sold through a sales team who visit towns and villages promoting the charity involved. A percentage of the price of the booklet, Lm1.50, is passed on to the charity. Vouchers are given in each booklet which can be redeemed at certain restaurants, leading to savings of over Lm3.

The team have just finished promoting the Ghana health centre in Africa and have passed on the sum of Lm15,000.
