Police 'solve' string of car thefts

A 44-year-old-man from Hamrun is expected to be arraigned tomorrow in connection with 17 car thefts that occurred over the past fortnight, the police said.

Fourteen of the thefts took place from cars in Marsa with the other three in Ta' Paris, Sta Venera and Hamrun.

The exact number of thefts the suspect was allegedly involved in has not been established as police investigations are still in progress.
