Zurrieq half marathon on Sunday

The eighth Zurrieq half marathon will be run next Sunday, starting at 8.30 a.m.

Organisers Zurrieq Wolves Athletics Club have reported another encouraging entry for the race which takes place over a picturesque circuit that passes through the villages of Safi, Mqabba, Siggiewi, Qrendi and Kirkop before returning to Zurrieq for the finish at the main square.

Malta Amateur Athletics Association rules will apply on the day and the route will be marked in miles and kilometres. Part of the entry fee will again be donated to Caritas-Malta. The Zurrieq half marathon forms part of World Run Day, in Malta represented by Caritas-Malta.

The collection of race numbers will take place at the club tomorrow (5 to 7 p.m.) and on Saturday (9 a.m. till noon).
