Alex Borg continues his bid to qualify for the final stages of the UK Championship when he plays against Englishman Brian Morgan in today's second qualifying round at Prestatyn, Wales.

On Monday, Borg moved just two wins away from a place in the last 32 of the prestigious event that ranks only behind the World Championship in prestige, when he scored an impressive 9-3 win over Simon Bedford with a top break of 95.

If Borg beats Morgan today he will then meet Ricky Walden in the third and last qualifying round match on Friday.

Malta's other professional, Tony Drago, will start his campaign on Friday when he faces the winner of the match between Mark Allen and James Tatton.

On Monday, Allen, who beat Steve Davis and John Higgins on his professional debut at the Northern Ireland Trophy in August, made a superb break of 80 in the deciding frame to beat Scott Mackenzie 9-8 in the first qualifying round.

Derby's David Roe made an amazing comeback against China's Jin Long, recovering from 5-0 and 6-1 down to win 9-7, and Belgium's Bjorn Haneveer finished with 131 and 101 as he beat Adam Davies 9-4.
