It is not only the people of Mellieha and St Paul's Bay who have to travel to the marinas but all boat owners who have their boats there. The residents of Marsascala would surely like to use their boats all the year round by mooring them in the locality; everybody would prefer it to be this way.
The people of Marsascala merit this luxury more than others as some sort of compensation for all the inconveniences mentioned in my letter, to which they have been subjected for the benefit of the whole of Malta. Little did the pioneer residents of the new Marsascala know what would happen to their placid and peaceful thoughts when choosing the locality.
I appeal to the minister to find ways and means to tackle priorities and perhaps take on less expensive projects so that the money is shared in the same way as the new taxes are envisaged to.
