The National Student Travel Foundation (Malta) has launched the fourth NSTF Science Art Contest, open to children aged eight to ten. The contest aims at encouraging young students to express their idea of science in a creative manner through art.

Children wishing to participate in this contest are being invited to prepare an artwork in two-dimension, not larger than A3 and using any medium, on one of the following themes: "Recycling", "The Importance of Water", or "Protecting Wildlife". The best 50 works will be exhibited during the NSTF Science Week being held in March at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity.

To apply, children should contact their head of school or log on to www.nsts.org/nstf, fill out an application form and return to: NSTF, 220, St Paul Street, Valletta or send by e-mail to: iflor@nsts.org by November 30. Art works need to be submitted by January 31, 2006.

All programmes are held on a non-contributory basis. For further information contact Ilaria Flores Martin, head of Educational and Cultural Affairs at NSTF on iflor@nsts.org or tel. 2558-8241.
