As a regular bus user, I cannot help noticing that most of the small windows on the new buses are very difficult to open. To make matters worse, roof ventilation ducts are kept closed.
I am writing this letter in view of the coming influenza season. A "closed" bus with 45 passengers and a lot of sneezing is the ideal place for the virus to flourish.
May I request the Transport Authority to see to it that buses are ventilated at all times and windows open easily.
As to bus passengers, I encourage them to keep windows slightly open (when not raining). This might help in ventilating the bus and diminish cross-infections.
