BUPA Luxol will make their first competitive appearance of the 2005/06 season tomorrow when they take on Siggiewi Smina while Pembroke are expected to remain on winning ways by beating Depiro Kyocera in the other match.

It will be interesting to see how Luxol will fare in their first MBA Shield match. They have strengthened the side significantly with the acquisition of Chris Sammut who is likely to add more options to coach John Tabone.

Siggiewi did play well in the middle stages of their match against Pembroke but were awful in the last 10 minutes. That last-session let-off, probably, cost them the points.

Pembroke were a joy to watch for most of the match against Siggiewi, particularly new playmaker Kris Baldacchino. He led the Reds' charge in impressive style and was the match top-scorer with 24 points.

Baldacchino certainly knows how to read the game... he will be an asset to the team for sure.

Tomorrow, Pembroke will have to be wary not to fall into complacency even though Depiro are struggling in attack after the departure of Peter Schultz to Siggiewi.
