Former Celtic and Leicester City manager Martin O'Neill has ruled himself out of the running to succeed Brian Kerr as Ireland coach.
"I left Celtic some months ago, obviously for personal reasons, and for a sabbatical out of football for a while," he said.
"Now these circumstances haven't changed one jot and, at the moment, I can't see them changing in the foreseeable future."
The former Northern Ireland midfielder was favourite to take over from Kerr, whose contract was not renewed after Ireland failed to reach the 2006 World Cup in Germany. However, O'Neill said he had not been approached by the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).
