Bank of Valletta chairman, Roderick Chalmers, will be addressing the Commonwealth Business Forum to be held in Malta between November 22 and 24.

Mr Chalmers will be speaking on November 23 and will deliver a paper on the theme 'Linkage Opportunities - Commonwealth Europe and the Mediterranean'.

The Commonwealth Business Forum is being held in conjunction with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and is expected to attract the participation of over 500 government and business leaders from throughout the Commonwealth and beyond.

BoV has been appointed the CHOGM Official Bank and is also a supporting sponsor of the Commonwealth Business Forum and of the Commonwealth People's Forum. It is also providing its active and tangible support to the CHOGM organisers to help ensure that the whole country will take full advantage of the opportunities that will emanate from this event.

The bank has been entrusted with providing exclusive banking services during all CHOGM events and is also acting as the payment gateway for CHOGM 2005. It will be setting up a number of banking service points within the CHOGM Media Centre and at the main CHOGM hotels.

BoV, as a Gold Sponsor of CHOGM 2005, is also supporting the national marketing and promotional efforts being undertaken by the Government in relation to this event. In this regard, BoV has supplied all the promotional banners that are being put up at the major traffic thoroughfares as part of a unique national promotional campaign with the objective of creating awareness and at the same time promoting CHOGM both with Maltese residents as well as with visitors to our islands.

The bank is also providing bus shelter adverts that will form part of this campaign. These adverts have now started to appear on Malta's roads and will continue to add the focus on CHOGM over the coming weeks.
