Xarabank's average audience this year has been registered at 140,000 viewers, with the programme on irregular immigrants reaching 147,000, according to the producers who cited a Telepage survey held over the past two weeks.
Presenter Peppi Azzopardi said he was very pleased that with the changes made, audiences had continued to grow even after nine years since Xarabank went on air.
In the coming weeks Xarabank will be discussing several controversial topics, including hunting, sexual abuse, infidelity, stealing and thieves, and the world of drug addicts.
There will also be a follow-up programme on irregular immigrants and a post-budget debate between the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader.
Another programme will be on politicians and citizens. The Xarabank hall will be divided in two, with members of Parliament from opposing parties on one side and the general public on the other.
