The euro-zone annual inflation was 2.6 per cent in September 2005, up from 2.2 per cent in August.

Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, said a year earlier the rate was 2.1 per cent. Monthly inflation was 0.5 per cent in September.

EU25 annual inflation was 2.5 per cent in September 2005, up from 2.2 per cent in August. A year earlier the rate was 2.1 per cent. Monthly inflation was 0.5 per cent in September.
