The St Paul Choral Society under the direction of Hugo Agius Muscat, is to present a concert of sacred music Singing God's Praises at St George's Basilica in Victoria on Saturday at 7.45 p.m.

The choir will sing a selection of works ranging from the 16th century to modern times. More specialised works such as Hymn To The Virgin by Benjamin Britten and Alleluia by Randall Thompson will be presented with popular works such as Franz Schubert's Ave Maria and César Franck's Panis Angelicus, both in the St Paul Choral Society's own choral arrangements.

Established in 1998, the choir has 60 members who meet every Wednesday for practice in the Undercroft of St Paul's Anglican Pro-Cathedral.

The concert will last around 45 minutes. Admission is free.
