The Malta Hospice Movement yesterday joined 500 Hospices all over the world to celebrate the sixth World Hospice and Palliative Care Day.
The principal aims of this world event are to celebrate the work of hospices and palliative care units around the world and to raise awareness of the universal need for palliative care services.
In Malta, the movement celebrated the event by hosting a 'Raise Your Voice' sacred music concert, led by the St Paul's Anglican Church Choir with leading Maltese soloists at St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta.
