My wife and I strolled down from the village to pretty Golden Sands Bay to view the nearly completed Radisson SAS Golden Sands Hotel which will host the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting next month.

It seems to us that the main three-block building is too overpowering as seen from the rather small bay; maybe two floors less would have been much kinder to the surroundings, and blended better with the hills on the skyline and the knights' tower in the background.

And again, the latest addition to the hotel, the beach building, in our amateur eyes is too "overweight at the waist" and spoils the grand and graceful appearance of this luxury hotel somewhat.
