I ordered a University of Malta Graduation Album 2003 from Mr Farrugia Wismayer, of KER, St Paul Street, Valletta, and paid Lm6.50 for it in advance.

To our dismay, when the album was published in January 2005 (15 months after ordering and paying for it!) I noticed that the photo of my son Dr Stefan Sant, on page 66, was captioned Mario Sammut. Although I have called on Mr Farrugia Wismayer several times, spoken to him on the phone and sent e-mails (the last one attached for your perusal), Mr Farrugia Wismayer did not come up with any solution.

I would appreciate it if you would use your good offices with Mr Farrugia Wismayer so that the latter will make the necessary corrections as soon as possible, failing which I leave it to your judgment whether the public should be made aware of this irresponsible attitude in your Sunday column. (Maryanne Sant, March 3)

On March 9, I asked Mr Farrugia Wismayer of KER for his comments, to no avail. On May 18 I sent him a copy of this letter and asked for his comments, still to no avail. On July 5 I sent him another copy of this letter with another request for his comments, still to no avail. On August 17 I sent him yet another copy of this letter with my final request for his comments.

Mr Farrugia Wismayer has been given more than a fair opportunity to give us his side of the case. I contacted Mrs Sant, who informed me that, despite this and despite having called on Mr Farrugia Wismayer several times, as well having talked to him on the phone and sent e-mails, he still did not come up with any solution.

At this stage I have no option but to inform you about Mr Farrugia Wismayer's customer orientation or, rather, lack of it. It is important to know what one can expect.
