The volume of retail trade last August grew by two per cent in the euro-zone and by 2.2 per cent in the EU25 compared to the same month last year, the EU's statistical branch Eurostat said.

Compared to July, the retail sales index rose by 0.9 per cent in the euro-zone and by 0.7 per cent in the EU25.
