An international seminar on youth policy organised by Diagonal Association Malta will be held in Malta next month.
Funded by the EU Youth Programme, the seminar, Professional Empowerment For Youth Policy - An Innovative Approach, is aimed at youth leaders coming from islands like Malta and rural areas from all over Europe.
The participants, from Malta, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Moldova, Romania, Belarus, Portugal, Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria and Turkey, will be listening to discussions on different aspects of organisational communications and management functions.
These include an interactive session on social networking by the presidents of Diagonal's Italy and France regions, while former Council of the Regions member Keith Grech will discuss thinking globally and acting locally.
Other speakers will be giving presentations on using the internet for community building, exposing an organisation through the media, marketing and community empowerment.
The participants will also get a taste of Maltese history and culture with tours of Valletta and Mdina, as well as visits to the Domus Romana and the Mnajdra and Hagar Qim.
